Information for New Students
This page contains information that will enable you to take charge of your time as a distance learning student. Please see the Key Links.
New Students who have been offered a place and have returned all documentation including passport photographs, but as not as yet have been contacted by CREST should contact the course administrator. This will be to arrange modules you wish to study and send out your learning packs.
Only once you have received the study pack and had time to examine the courses will you then be asked to register for the modules you wish to study for examination. The pack also includes your computer user name and student ID card (as long as you have sent us passport sized photographs).
As a flexible learning student, your learning resources can be accessed through this web-site or through attendance at lectures here on-campus should you wish. Updates are posted on this web-site, discussion boards or emailed to students.

Change of Address
CREST and the other University departments such as the Library send important information to your home address and UNIVERSITY email address. They need to be kept up to date of your new contact details.
*If your address or phone number has changed and is different to the address or phone number you put on your initial application form you must inform the university and the CREST Flexible Learning Coordinator. This is done by contacting the Student Records department via email to studentenquiries@lboro.ac.uk copied to j.a.evans@lboro.ac.uk and inform us of your change of details.
University E-mail Account
Every student has their own University email account. All University departments know of this email address and you will be contacted using this email address.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU REGULARLY CHECK YOU UNIVERSITY EMAIL ACCOUNT.
If you do not wish to access this account regularly, you should automatically forward all your email messages from your university account to your preferred email account by going to web-page http://student-webmail.lboro.ac.uk/webmail/ and following the on-line instructions.
